On the eve of New Year 2015, Chhattisgarh Government has launched Chief Minister Naya Raipur Housing Scheme to provide affordable homes to about 40 thousand families belonging to EWS (Economically Weaker Section) and BPL (Below Poverty Line) categories.
Under the said “Chief Minister Naya Raipur Housing Scheme”, the housing units for the EWS/LIG categories will be developed in the upcoming capital city Naya Raipur. The housing units will be developed by the Chhatisgarh Housing Board while the land will be provided by the Naya Raipur Development Authority at a nominal rate of just Rs. 1 per square feet.
The online bookings for the scheme has started from 1st January 2015 and will be open for next three months, i.e. March 30, 2015. The bookings for the “Chief Minister Naya Raipur Housing Scheme” will be done on first come first serve basis.
The state housing board will use the pre-cast materials to construct the housing units. The housing scheme will be well equipped with basic lifestyle facilities, roads, electricity, water and other utility facilities similar to other colonies of Naya Raipur.
The state government will be offering the housing units at discounted prices under the scheme. Rs. 1 Lakh and 1.5 Lakh will be the discount on LIG and EWS units respectively. The LIG units worth Rs. 7 lakh will be available for Rs. 6 Lakh and the EWS units worth 5.5Lakh can be bought for Rs. 4 Lakh. The scheme is valid only for the year 2015.
