Samajwadi Awas Yojna, an ambitious affordable housing project launched in December 2014 by Uttar Pradesh Government has started taking off with 5 back to back affordable housing schemes by development authorities in the state.
The UP government set a target of building 3 Lakh houses by 2016 under the scheme to cater the increasing demands of affordable homes for lower and middle income group of the society. The UP government decided under the policy of Samajwadi Awas Yojna that the homes will be offered at a cost between Rs. 15 Lakh to Rs. 30 Lakh. However, homes in some areas may cost much less than 15 lakh.

LATEST SCHEME UNDER SAMAJWADI AWAS YOJNA: YEDIA Affordable Housing Scheme Sector-22 Under Samajwadi Awas Yojna: The scheme code is “BHS-06/2015″ under which approx 430 flats are on offer for all categories in Sector 22.

1. Ramganga Nagar Housing Scheme by Bareilly Development Authority
This is the first scheme to be launched under the Samajwadi Awas Yojna. Bareilly Development Authority under the Ramganga Naga housing scheme is offering a total of 202 flats to the EWS, LIG and MIG categories. The 1BHK and 2BHK flats are being offered at multiple locations in the city. The applications for this scheme are being invited through offline mode from 20 January to 20 February 2015 through several bank branches in Bareilly.

2. Kanpur Development Authority Shatabdi Nagar Scheme for Sulabh Awas Flats
This is the largest among all 5 schemes launched under Samajwadi Awas Yojna offering 7360 flats for all categories of the society. The flats are located in Shatabdi Nagar where the authority has launched several housing scheme in the recent past. KDA is offering three types of Sulabh Awas homes under this scheme based on the carpet area. The flats in all three types of Sulabh Awas are being offered in a G+3 structure.
The applications for Shatabdi Nagar housing schemes are being invited from 29th January 2015. The last date of registration for this scheme would be 28th February 2015.

3. Samajwadi Lohia Para Township Project by Lucknow Development Authority
This is the second largest housing scheme of all launched till now under Samajwadi Awas Yojna offering 5779 multi-storey flats for EWS, LIG and MIG categories. The scheme is located in Devpur Para in Lucknow. The cost of flats under the Samajwadi Lohia housing scheme starts from Rs. 3.98 Lakh to Rs. 32.65 Lakh. Registrations for the scheme will start from 2nd February 2015 and the last date of registrations would be 28 February.
The interested applicants will have to pay 5% of the cost of flat as the booking amount along with the application form. The forms and scheme brochures will be available at different bank branches from the start date of the registrations.

4. Vasundhara Enclave Housing Scheme by Gorakhpur Development Authority
Vasundhara Enclave scheme in Gautam Vihar extension by GDA offers 240 flats to the middle income group of the society. The scheme offers 2BHK flats with an estimated are of 107.20 square meters at the tentative cost of Rs. 26,09,000/-.
The registrations for this scheme has started on 27 January 2015, the scheme will close on 28 February. The interested applicants of general category will have to pay 10% of the cost of flat as booking amount while reserved category applicants are required to pay 5% as booking amount.

5. Lohia Greens by Bareilly BDA
This is the most recent scheme launched under the Samajwadi Awas Yojna, the scheme offers 447 multi-storey flats in Ramganga Nagar Yojna for all categories. The registrations for the scheme can be done on any day between 2 February and 28 February 2015 by visiting the designate bank branches of Bank of Baroda.
The cost of the application form is Rs. 400/- for both Ganga and Yamuna apartments under the scheme.
