Pradhan Mantri Matra Vandana Yojana UP – Pregnant Women to Get Rs. 5000

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) is a new initiative of Uttar Praesh government for taking care of health of pregnant women. PMMVY was announced by government in UP budget 2017-18 on the basis of which the health officers have been directed to rolled the scheme.

Under Pradhan Mantri Matra Vandana Yojana, the central and state government will provide an assistance of Rs. 5000 to the pregnant women on the birth of their first baby and name and details of pregnant women would be collected through the official web portal

Health officials have been directed to upload the data of pregnant women and to connect their Aadhaar Card number so that the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Matra Vandana Yojana could be availed by the beneficiaries.

Pradhan Mantri Matra Vandana Yojana UP – Highlights

Total Rs. 5000 will be given to the beneficiaries in three phases.
First installment will be of Rs. 1000/- which to be issued on behalf of ANM to register the pregnancy of the woman.
The amount will be given to to the pregnant women for their first baby only.
After six months, there will be check up of pregnant women and Rs. 2000 rupees in the form of second installment will be transferred into beneficiaries account.
Third installment of two thousand rupees will be transferred after completion of six months vaccination of newborn baby.
Under Janani Suraksha Yojana, an amount of Rs. 1400 will also be provided.

The implementation process of Pradhan Mantri Matra Vandana Yojana such as work of linking, survey, data feeding and support has been started by the official and the scheme will soon benefit the pregnant women in UP.
