NCR Home Owners Can Now Apply for DDA 2014 Scheme

The scheme is getting delayed but at least there is one good news for the NCR home owners. Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has scrapped the plans of ban on NCR home owners from applying for the upcoming 2014 housing scheme.

DDA recently bared the people who have homes in their name in Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Noida from applying into the new scheme. However the ban has been lifted for now as per the statement issued by DDA officials to TOI.

DDA has scrapped the plans of not allowing the National Capital Region home owners to apply for the scheme after it found that some legal issues in passing the proposal. The initial study and legal vetting of the proposal revealed that such a proposal would require changes in the DDA Act which in itself a time taking process. However, according to the housing regulations of DDA Act, the Delhi property owners (Themselves, spouses, dependent children) will still not be allowed to apply for the scheme.

The scheme which was announced in December 2013 and has already been delayed is expected to launch in the last week of July or the beginning of August. The upcoming scheme will be the largest offering of DDA with about 27000 flats for EWS, LIG, MIG and HIG categories.
