MHADA Lottery 2016 in Konkan: Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority (MHADA) has decided to launch housing lottery 2016 for the allotment of affordable flats in Konkan. According to the sources, the Konkan Board of MHADA has decided to roll-out its 2016 housing lottery for 4275 flats and the registrations for the same will commence from 13 January 2016.

Houses under the 2016 lottery of Konkan Board are spread in Virar, Thane, Mira Road and Vengurla. The advertisement for MHADA lottery 2016 is scheduled to be published on January 12 and the online applications will start from 15 January 2016. The online registrations for the MHADA lottery 2016 will be opened till 7 February 2016 while the online applications will remain open till 9 February 2016.
MHADA Lottery 2016 Flats Location
In MHADA Lottery 2016, the majority of flats are be available in Virar. According to the sources, around 3755 houses are available in Virar, 19 in Thane’s Balkum, 310 in Mira Road, 164 in Kavesar and 27 in Vengurla. The large number of units are available for economical weaker section and lower income group. Apart from EWS and LIG houses, only 1315 flats are available for middle income group (MIG) and higher income group which are located in Vengurla while the houses for EWS section are located in Thane.
Cost of Flats in MHADA Lottery 2016
Now the point comes to the rate of flats in MHADA lottery 2016. The rate of MIG houses in Virar is above Rs. 6,000/- per square foot which is very close to the rate of Market price. The EWS houses in the lottery will be available at the cost of Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh depending on the area of a unit. The LIG, MIG and HIG units will be available at the cost of Rs. 22 lakh, Rs. 28 lakh and Rs. 40 lakh respectively. The price of a units may vary according to the size of the unit. The HIG units are constructed in Vengurla and the price of HIG unit is low comparing to the market price.
Eligibility for MHADA Lottery 2016
To be eligible to apply for EWS flats, the person’s salary should be up to Rs 16,000 per month. For LIG, the salary bracket is between Rs 16,001 to Rs 40,000 per month and for MIG it is Rs 40,001 to 70,000 per month and HIG is bracketed at Rs 70,001 and above.
The draw result of 2016 housing lottery of MHADA will be held on 24 February 2016 at Rangsharda auditorium in Bandra West. The development body has divided the categories on the basis of salary for new lottery.
