MHADA Lottery 2016 for 4,000 Flats in Konkan in January

MHADA Lottery 2016 is about to be launched by the authority in January 2016 if the media reports are to be believed. According to FPJ, MHADA will launched the housing lottery for the year 2016 for 4,000 affordable homes in Mira Road, Thane and Virar in January.

According to the MHADA’s Konkan board officials, a new housing lottery for about 4,000 flats will be announced in January 2016. These flats will be available for LIG and MIG categories measuring 480 sq.ft. and 800 sq.ft. respectively. These will be the 1BHK and 2BHK flats respectively.

MHADA will be announcing two housing lotteries in 2016, one under the Konkan Board in January for 4000 flats and the second one for 1085 flats under Mumbai board in May.

The LIG (Lower Income Group) and MIG (Middle Income Group) category flats in Mumbai lottery will be available in areas of Pratiksha Nagar in Sion, Rawalpada in Dahisar, Unnat Nagar in Goregaon and Chembur.

According to the officials of MHADA, the 2016 housing lottery will offer flats at even more affordable rates compared to the last year lottery. The price range of the flats in 2015 lottery was between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 47 lakh which is expected to come lower in MHADA lottery 2016.

MHADA did not offer any HIG flats in 2015 lottery and this time also, the authority has not yet decided to include flats for HIG category. The decision to include HIG flats is still pending because the HIG flats may not be ready soon.

MHADA plans to give possession to the lottery winners as soon as possible and hence selecting the buildings which are on the verge of getting the occupation certificate.
