Jaipur Development Authority has received 1.07 lakh applications for the 11 new housing schemes rolled out last month. The applications were invited online till 10th of August.
JDA was expecting upto 10 times applications to the number of offered plots but its is much more than that. The authority is offering a total of around residential 6600 plots under these schemes in 11 different locations. Out of all, Bilwa scheme in Zone 14 received a total of around 36000 applications which is highest among all the schemes. The least number of applications 1,400 were received for the Vipra Vihar scheme, situated near Gawar Brahmin village.
However still some JDA officials believe that the number of applications received could have been much higher if received through offline mode. Since the scheme was launched for all categories including LIG and retired persons who are not too tech savvy and having difficulties assessing the online system. Some glitches in the website due to many people simultaneously applying for the scheme can also be the reason.
