The Ganga Enclave housing scheme in Kanpur will offer a total of 274 flats while Kailash Enclave scheme in Lucknow’s Vrindavan Yojna will have 688 2BHK flats and 576 3BHK flats. The other dream housing project of SP government ‘Awadh Shilp Gram’ has also been given nod and will be setup in about 25 acres of land on Sultanpur Road. The Awadh Shilp Gram town will have shops, exhibition and fair centers for various craftsmen and skilled people.

However the Housing Board’s Awadh Vihar Yojna is facing some land dispute in Barauna village Hi-tech city project of Ansal API’s is overlapping with it. The Board seeks the land which belonged to the Housing Board free of cost. The board will ask to pay for the land which belongs to Ansal API and was falling in the Board’s project.

Besides the cost of land, the Board seeks around Rs 14 crore from Ansal API for roads and other facilities on the disputed land. On the other hand, Ansal API has expressed disagreement to the Board’s decision and claiming to take up the matter with the state government.

An official from Ansal API said, “We are dissatisfied with Housing Board’s decision. We have been asked to give 35 acres of land free of cost to them while they are charging more than the prevalent rates for land which is being offered to us.”

The property owners of private lands coming under Housing Board’s projects will have to pay 25% of the development fee for basic facilities like roads, drains in advance while the remaining has to be paid in three monthly installments.
