Swayam Prabha Channel – Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) started Swayam Prabha channel on 32 DTHs for live webcast of lectures on different education subject for the students going with distance education/ Open Schooling as well as for other students. Students can watch live streaming of Swayam Prabha Channel on YouTube and TV channels for free.
There are 32 DTH (Direct to Home) which are being used for broadcasting the study material by experienced lecturers for school and college students. The official website of Swayam Prabha is www.swayamprabha.gov.in from where you collect the information such as channel numbers, videos download, current and upcoming lectures.
Swayam Prabha Channels broadcasting the high quality education content using GSAT-15 satellite. Everyday, the channels provides at least four hours of new content and the content is repeated on the Swayam Prabha channel throughout the day. The repetition of lectures allows the students to watch it to learn as per their convenience. The archive content of Swayam Prabha Channels is available YouTube from where you live watched the lectures later after broadcast and it can also be watched live on DTH services including Dish TV and DD Free Dish.
