2 Affordable Housing under PMAY: Three affordable housing project would be developed by Unimark Group a leading city-based developer of which two would be launched under the PMAY in Howrah.
On this, the Chairman & Managing Director of Unimark Group, Mr. Harsh Patodia said that we will be the first city-based private developer to set up affordable housing projects under the PMAY scheme. One will be located at Barasat near the metropolis and the other at Howrah. The third project would be located at Rajarhat, close to the airport.
According to the source, the projects of Unimark Group would be launched on 15 April and the units under these project would be available at the price range of Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh.
Apart from these affordable housing projects, the group has also planning to set up to townships for which it would apply to West Bengal government. These townships would be situated near to Joka and eastern side of EM Bypass in the city.
According to the source, most of the affordable housing projects in city was launched by Mumbai-based developer Shapoorji Pallonji. And these would be the firstly launched affordable housing projects in the city under PM Awas Yojna.
Unimark Solitaire is a super-luxury project of the group located at on EM Bypass between ITC Sonar and upcoming J W Marriott hotels was being built at the cost of Rs. 320 crore. The project would comprised of 135 apartments in 38 floors with the size range of 2200 square feet to 3400 square feet.
The MD of the group quoted that these is the first premium residence of smaller size in the city. Each unit will cost between Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 4 crore. This is a unique space which we have identified so we have ventured into it.
According to the statement of the source, the project would be completed by the first quarter of 2019.
