The Odisha Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (OUIDF) has sanctioned loan for 11 infrastructure projects including affordable housing project of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) at Shampur and 2 housing projects of Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB).
Bhubaneswar Development Authority will construct 1600 houses in the first phase of project in Shampur. The project will cost Rs 85.28 crore involving OUIDF loan of Rs 32.38 crore and VGF (Viability Gap Funding) of 32.37 crore. The phase 2 of the housing project has also been approved by the board. This includes the development of 1280 houses with project cost of Rs 68.23 crore involving OUIDF loan of Rs 25.90 crore and VGF of Rs 25.90 crore.
Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB) also proposed for two affordable housing projects at Malipada and both have been approved by the board. A total of 2502 houses will be constructed in two phases (1368 and 1134) by the housing board at a total cost of 133.87 Crores.
