Navsari Gets Urban Development Authority (NUDA)

Navsari Urban Development Authority: On Wednesday, the Urban Development Department has issued a notification to form Navsari Urban Development Authority (NUDA) for better infrastructure and basic amenities in the Navsari area. The UDD is merging the entire Hazira Notified Area into Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA).

The NUDA will carry the development work of 87 villages about approximately 600-700 square km area. The area of SUDA will now extended to 1,332 square kilometer from 722 square kilometer. The extension of the area limit of SUDA could help the new villages to get basic housing facilities and infrastructure.

UDD has also merged the most of villages into SUDA where the proposed Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway has been planed.
Prakash Dutta, Senior Town Planner said in his statement that the SUDA’s area has been extended till industrial town of Pipodra. The infrastructural facilities in the 95 villages and the villages in Hazira industrial area will be taken up in the coming time.

Around 38 villages in Navsari including Navsari municipality area, Adada, Amadpor, Amri, Asundar, Bhattai, Chhapra, Dantej, Dhaman, Dharagiri, Italva, Kadipor, Kasbapar, Mogar, Moldhara, Munsad, Nasilpor, Onchi, Padgha, Pattapor, Parthan, Pera, Pinsad, Sarai, Sarona, Sisodra(Ganesh), Supa, Telada, Tighara, Un, Vejalpur, Viraval, Virvadi, Vada, Jamalpor, Chovisi, Kabilpor, Kaliyavadi, Jalalpor city and 49 villages in Jalalpore including Vijalpor municipality area and Arak, Alura, Arsan, Asna, Aat, Bhatha, Bhinar, Bhutsad, Bodali, Borsi, Chhinam, Chokhad, Dabhel, Dalki, Danti, Delvada, Dipla, Eru, Ethan, Hansapor, Kadoli, Kalakachha, Karadi, Machhad, Magob, Mandir, Manekpor, Mangrol, Maroli, Matvad, Mirzapur, Nadod, Nimlai, Pardi(Arak), Parsoli, Parujan, Pethan, Ponsara, Ranodara, Sadodara, Sagra, Sandalpor, Simalgam, Simlak, Sirodra,(Arak), Tankoli, Tavdi, Ubhrat, Vadoli, Vansi, Vesma, Vada, Mahuvar City have been included in the NUDA.

The process of appointing the chairman and other office-bearers including the town planner will be taken up soon.
