MHADA Lottery 2017 in Mumbai may offer Zero Home for EWS Category

The Mumbaikars belonging to economical weaker section (EWS) may not be able to apply for upcoming MHADA lottery 2017 as there would be zero house under EWS category. As per the report published in a newspaper, Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) is going to out with its most awaited housing lottery but this time there will be no EWS home for weaker section of the society.

In forthcoming housing lottery of MHADA, total 716 homes will be offered for sale and these housing units would be available for lower income group, middle income group and higher income group. And out of these housing units, not a single unit would be reserved for economical weaker section, however the MHADA officials are searching for EWS homes.

MHADA Mumbai Lottery 2017 – Details of Homes

The number of houses in the housing lottery is almost finalised by MHADA official but the final number of houses would be announced at the time of launch of the lottery.

Higher Income Group (HIG) – 168 Home
Middle Income Group (MIG) – 226 Homes
Lower Income Group (LIG) – 322 Homes

The above home would be available in various location of Mumbai. The HIG houses would be available in Powai and MIG would be located in Vikhroli and Kandivali And remaining LIG homes would be available in Goregaon, Pratiksha Nagar, Unnat Nagar and Kandivali.

The launch date and advertisement for MHADA Mumbai lottery is expected to out soon and the MHADA officials are working towards the addition of few units in the upcoming housing lottery under EWS category.
