Central government has initiated a new way to enable the transporters to make registration for the movement of goods across the country. The programme is known as GST e-Way bill and the facility is make available on GST e-Way Bill System. e-Way Bill registration portal allow the transporters to register yourself as transporter and citizen and login. Tax payers can enrol on the portal and generate e-way bill online on ewaybill.nic.in / ewaybillgst.gov.in and .
Transporters have to make registration for every transportation of goods worth Rs. 50,000. The process of inter state e-way bill generating to be mandatory from February 2018. Moreover, the government will make this inter state and intra state e-way bill compulsory from 1 June 2018.
The state’s including Haryana, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Gujarat, Sikkim and Jharkhand have already using the way bill through GST Network (GSTN) which is developed by National INformatic center, NIC of India.

The central govt. is going to make the inter state and intra state e-way bill mandatory from 1 June 2018. “One Nation, One Tax, One Market” is the purpose behind introducing e-way bill and printed booklets for the same has already been issued to all the business / dealer (regular tax payers).
