Delhi Development Authority has decided not to launch any new flat or housing scheme until all the work on pending projects is completed.
According to the story published in a newspaper, construction of more than 62,000 flats is pending in 8 different locations in Delhi and it will take 6 months to 3 years to complete these. Even the tender has not been issued for at least 7,000 flats.
According to the Vice chairman of DDA, Mr. Balvinder Kumar, we will not launch any scheme before the construction of pending projects is completed regardless of the reason for delay in completion. He also said that new flats will be built according to the Green Project. The new flats will be enough airy and ventilated for the natural light to enter inside.
According to the DDA sources a total of 62,287 flats are being developed at 8 different sites our of which 1463 HIG, 963 MIG, 24,879 LIG and 34,982 flats belongs to EWS category.
