CREDAI to Launch 200 Housing Projects to Push Housing for All Mission

Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI) is planning to contribute in the central governments housing mission named “Housing for All 2022” by constructing housing projects. According to the information received from the source, CREDAI will soon launch 200 housing project across the country.

Union Urban Housing Development Minister, M Venkaiah Naidu will launch these projects on April 8 in Ahmedabad.

According to the source, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Kurnool chapters of CREDAI are already preparing blueprint of housing projects project to contribute in the Centre’s affordable housing scheme.

However, the location and number of units in projects and other works are yet to be finalised with national development bodies.

As per the information received from the source, the state government had also decided to develop 1.94 lakh houses for the EWS (economically weaker sections) and CREDAI AP chapter will be involved in the project

As the cost of materials like land, steel, cement and labour is gradually increasing and there is a possibility that the prices of houses will also go up.

The officials informed that provisions of RERA and GST will come into force soon and these will also have an impact on the cost of houses.
