Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana is an ambitious housing scheme for widows in Jharkhand for providing them a houses along with financial assistance. On the 125the birth anniversary of Bhimrao Ambedkar, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das launched this scheme for widows named as ‘Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana’ on the name of Dr. B R Ambedkar.
Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana
Under Widows housing scheme, the state government will provide a financial assistance of Rs. 75,000/- for building a house in hilly areas and an amount of Rs. 70000/- will be provided for constructing a house in plain areas in any districts of Jharkhand in the for financial assistance.
The objective of the scheme is the create harmony for widows in society and also ensure all round development enshrined in the Constitution for them. With the target of constructing 11,000 housing units, the government has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 80 crore for FY 2016-17.
Funds for Beneficiaries
Financial assistance to the beneficiaries of the scheme will provided in three installments and amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries bank account.
- Financial assistance for constructing houses in Hilly areas is Rs. 75,000/-
- Financial assistance for constructing houses in Hilly areas is Rs. 70,000/-

- Applicant should be a Widow women
- Applicant should be a citizen of Jharkhand state

Procedure of Application
To submit the application form, you can visit Gram Panchayat or Zilla Parishad in Taluka/district
