- To apply online for Ishan Uday scholarship scheme the candidates have to visit national scholarship portal scholarships.gov.in.
- At last of the homepage click at University Grants Commission and then click at Apply link in front of ISHAN UDAY – Special Scholarship Scheme For North Eastern Region.
- If you are already registered then make your login by entering application id and password.
- If you are a new user then click at New Student ? Register Here
- Now read the instructions carefully and click at continue option.
- Now the Registration Form will be opened at your screen.
- Fill the registration form with complete and accurate details.
- Now click at register option and as you click you will receive application id and password at your registered mobile number which will be used during the login.
- Now you will be able to fill the online application form for the scholarship.
Selection Procedure
Under this scholarship scheme the UGC will select the candidates with a procedure which is given below.
- UGC awards 10,000 fresh applications every year.
- The slots will be distributed amongest the states of northern eastern region will be done on the basis of population census.
- In the case if slots in any particular state remain vacant due to non availability of eligible candidates, the unfilled slots will be distributed equitably among other states.
- Reservation for the persons with disability will be made as per the government norms.
Ishan Uday Scholarship Eligibility
If you want to apply for Ishan Uday scholarship scheme 2018-19 then first you have to go through the eligibility criteria which is given below.
- The candidates must have passed out 12th class or any equivalent exam from a school within NER from any recognized board of education.
- The students must have domicile of northern eastern region.
- Only the candidates of first year under graduate courses are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- The income of the parents of the candidates should not exceed Rs.4.5 lakh per annum.
- Transgenders are also eligible to take the benefits of this scheme.
Amount of Ishan Uday Scholarship
An amount of Rs. 5400 per month for general degree courses and Rs. 7800 per month for technical and professional courses (including medical & para medical courses) will be given through direct benefit transfer to the beneficiary student.
