240 houses in Patholi area in Agra are converted into shambles. This news show an apathy of the administration of Agra area. According to the source, these were constructed in Patholi area for urban poor which are vacant from last four years, even after their allotment process has been done.

These houses were constructed under ‘Manyawar Kanshiram Shahri Garib Awas Yojna’ by previous BSP government. This initiative of government was started to cater the requirement and dream of poor people who don’t have shed to live.

After the completion of these flats, the allotment process of these houses was assigned to District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) by the state government. However, the handover of these flats was to be Agra Development Authority, but it says that no one has approached it with the allotment letter.

The Superintendent Engineer of ADA, Subodh Rai said that, “Our job was to build the houses. DUDA had to do the allotment. There is no delay from our side. Those having allotment will be handed over the houses as soon as they come.”

On the other side, the project officer of DUDA, Anamika Singh blamed ADA for the delay and said that the matter is of past, before I was transferred to Agra. Houses have been allotted, ADA has not handed over them. This is the reason they are lying vacant.

This shows, how dispassion the administration of the area is. This is the example of lack of coordination between two agencies due to which, the people who have been allotted the houses are suffering.
