MHADA Received 1,50,500 Applications for MHADA May Lottery 2015

MHADA (Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority) has received a great response from the applicants for MHADA lottery 2015. The registration for the lottery was started on 15 April 2015 & was closed on 20 May 2015 with the great response from the applicants.

The Authority have received total 1,50,500 applications forms from all categories out of which 1,00,600 applicants have done their payments till now. The authority has received maximum numbers of applications for EWS flats in Unnat Nagar.

MHADA official said that they are expecting little more number of payments received. Last day the authority has received payments through DD/PO are under verification process. The last count of payments received will get by 23rd May.

In the last year’s lottery, MHADA had received about 1,20,000 applications for 2,641 flats & this year the authority has received 25% more applications as compare to the last years applications received.

In this year’s lottery MHADA had offers flats for Economical Weaker Section, Lower Income Group & Medium Income Group of the society. Total 1066 flats were on offer for EWS, LIG & MIG Category, out of which maximum number of flats were available for EWS category. Out of total 66 flats were reserved for physically-challenged citizens. Apart from these flats a single units was not available for Higher Income Group.

Due to the unconstructed flats in this segment, MHADA was not able to offer flats for HIG category. Now the authority planning to release flats for HIG in their forthcoming lottery in the month of December. In the next lottery MHADA will come with about 2,500 flats, which will likely to be started in December.

The lottery for “MHADA Lottery 2015” will be held on 31 May at Rangsharda Auditorium in Bandra West at 6 pm.
