TNSAND Mobile App and a website portal “www.tnsand.in” has been launched for sand online booking / purchase in Tamilnadu. Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Palaniswami released mobile application developed “TNSAND Mobile App” and web portal and made the process of sand booking and purchase compulsory.

With the released of this, online purchase of sand for construction purposes has been made compulsory. These online facilities will provide hassle free experience for consumers from 1 July 2017. Now both truck owners (who procure and supply sand from quarries), playing a main role in the distribution of land, as well as the general public will have to register online for purchasing and booking of sand.

From 1 July, these facilities would be activated and live for general public and truck owners to purchase sand online. The step is taken to make to process of sand purchase more and more transparent and to meet consumers’ demand and ensure adequate supply of sand at lower rates. And they would also be enabled to make an advance booking.
TNSAND Mobile App & TNSAND Online Web Portal – Highlights
- For online registration, www.tnsand.in portal has been introduced for both public and truck owners for purchase booking of sand. (தமிழ்நாடு மணல் இணைய சேவைஇனியும் மணலுக்காக நீண்ட வரிசையில் காத்திருக்கும் அவசியம் இல்லை).
- By launching mobile application and website, the government has made sand purchasing and booking online compulsory for both truck owners (Lorry owners) as well as the general public.
- Through this website, booking of sand could be made in few easy steps.
- With successful registration through mobile app / website, consumer / lorry owner would be allowed to load from the quarries in their allocated specified time and it would also avoid long queues.

The TNSAND Mobile App would be available for downloaded in Google Play Store and and the link for direct download would also be linked on the official website at www.tnsand.in. The PWD is holding a training programme for all stakeholders for three days starting Wednesday.
