Tamilnadu Government Free Laptop 2019 Registration Soon

The state government of Tamilnadu is going to start Tamilnadu Government Free Laptop 2019 registration soon for session 2019-20. AIADM government has given tender for the laptops to Lenovo and HP company to prepare 1.5 million laptops. Every year the state government of Tamilnadu distributed around 5.5 lakh fre laptops to the higher secondary students and college students.

State-owned Elcot, the nodal agency for procuring electronic hardware and software for the state government and its schemes, finalized the tender over the past few days. Lenovo outbid many companies including HP to bag the deal.

The candidates will be able to make online registration for Tamilnadu free laptop scheme 2019 after the official notification of the government. The company has agreed to supply it at ₹10,000 plus tax per unit, which is a few hundred rupees less than the price agreed upon last year. Only the chief minister can reveal the finer details and make a formal announcement.

The eligible and interested candidates will be able to make online registration for  Tamilnadu Government Free Laptop 2019 after the official notification. The state government of Tamilnadu has prepared the layout to distribute free laptops under the free laptop scheme Tamilnadu.

As per the source the state government has decided to distribute free laptop in the month of June at the time of the summer vacations.

The AIADMK government, after coming back to power in 2011, has been distributing free laptops to higher secondary students in government and aided schools and college students. Over 38 lakh free laptops have been distributed so far in the last seven years.

On an average, the government has been procuring around 5.5 lakh laptops every year under the free distribution scheme. Last year (2017-2018) however, it could distribute only around 42,000 laptops. Order for the remaining 4.73 lakh eligible students was not placed.
