Tamil Nadu Labour department has launched an online portal for fresh registration of workers of unoganised sectors, who were left out of the government Covid-19 welfare measure can now register online at official website labour.tn.gov.in. Tamil Nadu government is inviting unorganised workers registration 2020 at TN Labour Department online portal.
During the lockdown, Tamil Nadu govt. provided financial support of Rs. 1000 and dry ration twice to the registered members of the welfare boards. As per the official, 27.4 lakh laboures were registered with the 17 welfare boards under Tamil Nadu Labour Department.
Labour Department Commissioner Mr. R Nanthagopal issued new membership cards for a few laboures who registered online. Tamil Nadu government launch labour.tn.gov.in portal to facilitate labourers to register online and enjoy the benefits of social security scheme.
Pon Kumar the former chaiperson of the welfare board of construction labour said that the labourers have to go the labour department office in person to submit the application from. “The labourers are forced to forgo 2 to 3 days of earing and also spend their hard-earned money for commuting.

- Register and verify mobile number / e-mail ID
- Upload your documents such as Pan Card/ Ration Card/ Voter ID/ Aadhaar Card/ Driving License) and create password for 1st time user, click “Register” button
