Nagar Nigam Roorkee is going to take a survey to find the genuine beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. A team of Roorkee Nagar Nigam will take a door to door survey to find the beneficiary who don’t have a shed for better living and those who wants to take benefits of the PMAY. A form will be filled for these selected beneficiaries.

The government has setup a target of providing housing for all by 2022 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The scheme is being implemented state wise. Nagar nigam has created a sub-division where the applications were filled by the people but the process has been closed. And now the beneficiaries will be find out through a survey which to be conducted by an outsourcing company and during the survey, a application form will also be filled for the same.
Under PMAY, the beneficiary whose annual income is less then Rs. 3 lakh will get an amount of Rs. 1.5 lakh as assistance and those who whose annual income is within Rs. 3 lakh to 6 lakh will get a home loan upto Rs. 6.0 lakh under PMAY component “Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme” for 15 years.
To get the benefits of the scheme, the beneficiary will have to submit an affidavit of not having a house. The beneficiary can take benefits of one component of the scheme either of PM Awas Yojana or Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme.
In the earlier process, 197 applications received of which many of them are not eligible for the scheme. So, to find the genuine beneficiary, a door to door survey will be conducted by which an application form will be filled for the beneficiary at the time of survey.
