The Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA) is the governing body of Gujarat Government. The authority takes care of the new infrastructure developments, housing projects for people falling in low and medium income group. Along with the new developments the authority also has the responsibility to keep the historical places and the natural sights in the Surat city fresh and renovated. Since Surat is a city of the industries and the businesses, authority also deal with several other government entities and private agencies to ensure planned development of the commercial and industrial sectors.
