Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana New Guidelines – The central government has updated the guidelines of Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (January 2018) for both PMAY Urban and PMAY Gramin component. The decision has been taken by Minister of Housing and Urban Affair (MHUPA) for broadening the benefits of the scheme to maximum people. As per the updated guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more people will get covered under Housing for all by 2022 mission of the government.

Ministry of rural development has updated the guidelines for PMAY – Urban and PMAY – Gramin. As per the updated guidelines of housing for all scheme, beneficiaries of the scheme would also be able to avail the benefits of other housing schemes of government. Both urban and rural components of PM Awas Yojana will be implemented according to the new guideline and benefit the people.

PM Awas Yojana New Guidelines [Updated January 2018]

Below are the new guidelines for housing for all mission’s components, PMAY (U) and PMAY (G).

New Guidelines for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban
According to the amended guidelines, areas falling within notified planning or development area under the jurisdiction of an industrial development authority or special area development authority or urban development authority or any such body under state legislation which is entrusted with the functions of urban planning and regulations shall also be included for coverage under PMAY(U).

New Guidelines for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural
The beneficiaries in the permanent wait list of PMAY (G) will have the flexibility for opting for a house under PMAY(G) or PMAY (U). The benefits of all existing and future rural schemes will not be denied to a beneficiary who would avail a house under this amendment, according to the new guidelines.

Central government launched this project for benefitting people across the nation. Candidates who are eligible can apply for PMAY for getting affordable house and if you already applied for the scheme then you can check your name in the list of beneficiaries on pmaymis.gov.in.
