Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – is an initiative of Central government launched in April 2015. The foundation work for constructing a house in Ranchi for the beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana has been started.
According to the source, the construction work of houses for the beneficiaries of PMAY started in Ward Number 5 of Ranchi. The foundation work started in the presence of area councillor Husna Aara.
A base of 360 square feet created for constructing houses for the beneficiaries under PM Awas Yojana. On the basis this foundation, a house to be constructed which will include 2-bedroom, one hall, toilet and kitchen.
According to the information received from the source, 10,000 houses has been sanctioned in the city for construction.
An assistance of Rs. 2.25 lakh is being provided to the beneficiary for constructing a house and Rs. 12,000/- for building toilet.
