Online Application for Post Matric Scholarship 2017-18 for Minority Students

Post Matric Scholarship 2017-18 online registration are being invited from minority students by Ministry of Minority Affairs for fresh and renewal applications. Students studying in class 11th, 12th, under graduate (UG), post graduate (PG), technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or Ph.D can apply online for Post Matric Scholarship 2017 for getting the scholarship amount. The scheme is also known as Minorities scholarship scheme under which the government is providing equal opportunities of education for minority students.

Students belongs to any minority community including Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians/ Parsis can fill the online application form for Post Matric Scholarship 2017 and the steps by step procedure to register online for the scheme is mentioned below.

Post Matric Scholarship Application Form / Registration Process

Eligible students can follow the procedure to fill the application form through National Scholarship Portal 2.0 at scholarships.gov.in

  • Visit the official website of at https://scholarships.gov.in/homePage
  • Check the list of scholarships listed below the title “M/O Minority Affairs” and click on “Apply list available in front of “Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities”.
  • Here a login page will be opened. Those who have already registered can apply for renewal scholarship through login. And those who are applying a fresh application will have to click on “New User ? Register Here” available at the login page.
  • Now a registration form will be opened, enter all details name, mobile number, bank details, category and state etc.
  • Click on submit button. Here the registration process completes.
  • Now do login and fill fresh application for Post Matric Scholarship 2017.
  • After making registration, do login and fill the fresh application form by entering all the necessary details such as basic information, marks obtained in previous class category, address etc.
  • Click on submit button.
  • Take a printout of acknowledgement slip of your application.

List of Documents to be Scanned & Uploaded for both Fresh and Renewal Scholarships:

  • Student Photo. (Mandatory).
  • Institution Verification Form. (Mandatory).
  • Self declaration of Income Certificate by the student. (Mandatory).
  • Self declaration of community by the student. (Mandatory).
  • In case of Fresh: Self Attested Certificate of ‘Previous Academic Mark sheet’ as filled in Form. (Mandatory).
  • In case of Renewal: Self-Attested Certificate of Previous Year Mark sheet as filled in the Form. (Mandatory).
  • Fee Receipt of current course year. (Mandatory).
  • Proof of Bank Account in the name of student. (Mandatory).
  • Aadhaar Card (optional).
  • Residential Certificate. (Mandatory).

Post Matric Scholarship – Eligibility

Students who have have secured more than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and their household annual income from all sources is less than Rs. 2.00 lakh will be benefited under the scheme.
