Najeeb Jung Approves DDA Housing Scheme 2014

The much awaited housing scheme of Delhi Development Authority has been approved by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Najeeb Jung who is also the chairman of DDA. The scheme may be launched today or in just coming 2-3 days. The scheme is offering over 25000 flats to different income groups of the society.

The number of one bedroom flats on offer is the highest among all. The flats are located in areas like Rohini, Dwarka and Narela. According to the sources there will be 2920 flats in Siraspur, 2360 in Dwarka, 6422 in Narela, 10875 in Rohini area and 50 flats in the Rohini sector 4 on offer. The largest ever housing scheme of Delhi Development Authority has made a few amendments in the rules including not allowing successful allottees to sell their flats for first 5 years.

The proposal of DDA to reserve 80% of the flats for the people of Delhi has been refused by the LG and there will not be any reservation now. The authority has also decreased the registration amount by Rs 50 thousand from rs 1.5 Lakh to Rs 1 Lakh. The payment period for the flat cost has also been increased from 6 months to 1 year for successful applicants. According to the proposal, the pricing of the flats has been kept between Rs. 5.60 Lakh for EWS flats to Rs 1.21 Crores for the HIG.

    I was known by other source that there is required income certificate of 1.5 lac yearly of applicant.
    please update i am in private job, my salary slip showing Rs. 18350 p.m.

    What i eligible for EWS flat / or i can fill the form in my wife name.
