Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana Himachal Pradesh – 12,000 Houses for BPL Families

The state government has set a target of providing 12,000 houses under various housing scheme to weaker section of the society. For achieving the target, the government has launched Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana in the state. These housing units will be constructed at the worth of Rs. 97 crore.

Earlier, Rs. 48,500/- was providing to the beneficiaries of Indira and Atal Awas Yojana which has been extended to Rs. 75,000 per beneficiary. And the same amount is being provided to the beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana, the source said.

According to the source, an amount of Rs. 75,000/- is being provided to the BPL families of General categories under Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana. A target of constructing 1923 house been set up for the current financial year at the worth of Rs. 25 crore.

In last four years, 13808 houses were constructed under Indira Awas Yojana at worth of Rs. 108.37 crore and 3363 houses under Rajiv Awas Yojana at worth of Rs. 33 crore and benefited the poor people.

Under the scheme, 1515 are being constructed for 19.70 crore. For constructing 300 houses in Krishnanagar Shimla, Centre has approved an amount of Rs. 33.99 crore of which state has obtained the amount of Rs. 10.67 crore as first instalment.

In the first phase of PM Awas Yojana, 13 cities of the state has been selected and remaining 41 cities have been included for the second phase of the scheme.

For the repairing of houses and amount of Rs. 15,000/- were provided to SC, ST, and OBC category under various housing scheme which has been extended to Rs. 25,000/-.

Under Rajiv Awas Yojana, the government has set a target of repairing around 12,000 houses in the current financial year at the worth of Rs. 3 crore.
