MUDA Brings New Residential Projects & Satellite Towns in 2014-15 Budget

Mysore Urban Development Authority on Saturday presented a surplus budget that envisages revenue of Rs. 486.7 crore and an expenditure of Rs. 484.38 crore, leaving a surplus of Rs. 2.32 crore.

MUDA has proposed development of new residential layouts, two satellite towns at Ballahalli and Kochanahalli and construction of flats under the group housing scheme.

MUDA has earmarked land for the satellite towns in at Ballahalli (485 Acres) and Kochnahalli (500 Acres) in Varuna hobli.

The new residential layouts to be developed in Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Nagar, Swarna Jayanti Nagar and in the second stage for Lal Bahadur Shastry Nagar, Lalitadrinagar, Ravindranath Tagore Nagar and Shantaveri Gopalgowda Nagar.

MUDA plans to develop 500 units on no-profit, no-loss basis through the Public Private Partnership mode under the group housing scheme. The authority will develop 1BHK, 2BHK and 3BHK flats as a part of the project.

MUDA Budget Highlights for 2014-15

Apart from this the budget also proposes the widening of roads from 2 to 6 lanes under 4 railway overpasses leading to the outer ring road. MUDA is expecting Rs. 80.89 Crore from the Union government and has set aside Rs. 8 Crore for the same purpose.
