MHADA Next Year Lottery to Offer 3,000 Homes for Public & Mill Workers

Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) announced a next year lottery for the sale of around 3,000 homes under MHADA Lottery 2017.

According to the source, around 3,000 homes to be line up in the next year lottery of MHADA. This lottery may out in the month of May 2017.

On 10, August 2016, MHADA held a lottery draw for 972 homes at Bandra wherein, plans for the lottery draw for next year was announced.

The source said that like a lottery held for 2016 the same lottery to be held for the sale of around 3,000 homes through a lucky draw in May next year. These housing units would be available for both mill workers as well as for public.

Vice President and CEO of MHADA, Mr Sambhaji Zende said that we have plans to come out with a lottery draw for around 3,000 homes in May next year. This total of 3,000 will be for mill workers as well as for public like the one held this year.

In MHADA lottery 2016, total 972 apartments were for sale of which 390 units were the leftover units from the previous lottery draws. While, the remaining units are under construction.

According to the source, the condition of these 390 tenements, as well as the housing societies developed in the last few years by MHADA are not in the good position, due to lack of maintenance.

On this, Ravindra Waikar, state minister for housing mentioned that those homes would be makeup before possessions
would be given out to the lottery winners.

For MHADA Lottery 2016, the authority received a total of 1,36,560 applications (with refundable deposit) were received for 972 homes. Out of which, 69 applications were rejected, which are possibly the lowest ever in MHADA’s history.
