MHADA has finally announced its 2016 housing lottery under the Konkan Board. The authority is offering a total of 4275 affordable homes in its 2016 housing lottery at different location under the Konkan Board. Most of the flats under the MHADA lottery 2016 are located in Virar while some are in Thane, Mira Road and Vengurla.

MHADA is offering 329 flats for EWS, 2629 for LIG and 1311 flats for MIG category. There are only 4 flats for the MIG category in Vengurla. Out of the total only 49 flats which are for EWS are complete while the rest are under construction.

The online registrations for MHADA lottery 2016 will start from 13 January, Wednesday while the online application can be filled from Friday, 15 January. The last date of online registrations and the applications is 7 February and 9 February 2016 respectively. The draw result of MHADA lottery 2016 will be announced on 24 February 2016 at Rangsharda auditorium in Bandra West.

MHADA Lottery 2016 Online Application Procedure
Step 1. Registration of Applicants:
Log on to website https://lottery.mhada.gov.in
Applicants will have to first register a USER NAME. The registered USER NAME should not be forgotten.
The following information is required for registration-
- Name,
- Family Income.
- Passport size coloured photograph, (cleanly scanned jpg image upto 50kb),
- PAN Card Number ( Pan card will be verified online),
- Date of Birth ( as on PAN Card),
- Occupation,
- Marital Status,
- UID No.,
- Gender,
- Residential Address,
- Mobile Number ( do not put 0 before the number),
- Email ID (All the communications to the Applicant will be done through sms and email so applicants are requested to carefully fill the above information correctly.) 13. Bank Account Number,
- IFSC Code or MICR Code of the Bank branch where the Applicant having the account.
Step 2. Filling up the Online Application Form:
After the registration, as explained above, the applicant can log in to his account using the USER NAME and Password.
Applications should be filled for the relevant income category mentioned during registration. Before the final submission of online application form, the information in the application can be viewed and EDITED.
To Apply, Please click on the link “APPLY FOR LOTTERY”. This will show you the information about all the Schemes available under the relevant income category.
To Apply for a specific Scheme Code Please Click on “APPLICATION FOR RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION FORM”. For filling up the form, information like Scheme Code, Category, mode of payment etc will be required. (All the field required for filling up the application form will be available in the link “APPLICATION FOR RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION FORM”)
After filling up all the information, Please click “SUBMIT”. If there are no changes to be done in the form, then Please Click “CONFIRM”. After this the filled up form can be printed by using “PRINT” button. A PDF document of the form will be generated which can be saved and printed. After taking the printout, sign it and those applicants, who want to make online payment, please go to option “MY APPLICATION” make payment and those applicants, who want to pay through D.D./P.O. submit with D.D./P.O. at respective Axis Bank Branches.
Step 3 Process for depositing the EMD:
EMD can be deposited through any of the following three methods
1. Demand Draft (DD)/Pay Order,
2. Debit/Credit Card,
3. Internet Banking
If the payment is made online, the applicant will have to pay the service charges to the service provider (The information regarding service
charges which will be available in the software.)
More than one applications in the allowed groups can be filled using one bank account number by an applicant.
For the Applications of Defence employees working at Indian Border under Border Security Force or Border Roads & Development Organization may send their printed Application along with the DD (if applicable) Payable at Mumbai drawn in the name of “AXIS BANK ACCOUNT KHADB 2016” by post to Estate Manager – II / Konkan Board, Mezanine Floor, MHADA Office, Grihnirman Bhavan, Kalanagar, Bandra (E), Mumbai – 400051 on or before 10/02/2016. Applications received after 10/02/2016 will not be considered for draw.
Applicants paying the EMD through DD/Pay Order will have to Draw the Demand Draft Payable at Mumbai of amount of EMD plus Rs. 300 in the name of “AXIS BANK ACCOUNT KHADB 2016” and submit it along with the filled up printed application form to the nearest branch of the Axis Bank mentioned below from 15/01/2016 to 11/02/2016 during the Bank working Days and hours.
Please write your application number on backside of D.D./P.O. Online Applications received before 2.00 pm on 15/01/2016 or after 6.00 pm on 09/02/2016 will not be considered for the lottery draw.
2) While making online payment due to some technical error, if payment is made twice, then all such payments will be refunded after the lottery.
3) Board is not responsible for any technical error while making online payment.
4) If the applicant purposely submits any wrong information in the application from, such application will be liable for summerily rejection.
Income Eligibility Criteria for MHADA lottery 2016
- The Applicant should have completed the Age of 18 years on or before the date of filling up of the application form.
- The applicant himself and / or his / her spouse or his / her minor children shall not own a house or flat or residential plot and land or holds a residential plot on hire purchase basis or on a rental basis from MHADA or a house / flat /or residential plot of land or membership of any registered or proposed cooperative housing society in his / her name as the case may be in the jurisdiction of that Municipal Corporation or Municipal Council where the applicant sought to fill up the application.

- Applicant’s family’s average monthly income (For year 2015-16) (Including Basic+D.A.+Bonus+City Allowance. But It shall exclude reimbursable allowances, like HRA/medical allowance, travelling allowance, washing allowance etc.) Shall be as per the category shown below:
Economically Weaker Section(EWS) – up to Rs. 16,000/- Lower Income Group (LIG) – Rs. 16,001/- to Rs. 40,000/- Middle Income Group (MIG) – Rs. 40,001/- to Rs. 70,000/- Higher Income Group (HIG) – Rs. 70,001/- and above - Applicant can not apply more than once in one reservation category in the same code number as well as not more than one income group. If so found, all such applications shall be summarily rejected before lottery.
- Applicant shall not apply using Joint Bank A/c, Current A/c or NRI Bank A/c. Applicant shall not use any other persons bank A/c No. for making an application. If found, such application shall be summarily rejected.
- Applicant should have his own PAN card. Successful applicant will have to submit Aadhaar (UID) card No. before taking possession All the detail terms and conditions for the eligibility and also the details of the reservation categories are described in the information booklet. All the applicants are hereby requested to study this information booklet carefully before filling online application. This information booklet will be available on the MHADA’s Lottery Website https://lottery.mhada.gov.in
- As per provisions of “The National Trust for the welfare of persons with autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and mutiple disabilities act 1999”, chapter 6, section 13 to 17, registered trust/persons can apply on behalf of mentally retarded and mentally ill person in physically handicapped category and for allottment of such tenements the income of such persons will be considered.
