The proposed metro rail project between the Pari Chowk and Sector 18 and 20 has been approved by the Yamuna Expressway Authority. Sector 18 and 20 are the first residential sectors being developed by the authorities where 21000 allotments have already been done.
The length of this metro route would be 21 Kilometers starting from the zero point of Yamuna Expressway on Noida-Greater Noida expressway with around 6 kilometers in the Greater Noida city and rest in the Yamuna Expressway city area.
Mr. PC Gupta while making the approval announcement said that the detailed project report will be prepared by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). In the DPR, the cost of the project, passenger volume capacity and project viability will also be mentioned.
The metro project alignment will be parallel to the Yamuna Expressway and has to be implemented before the allottees construct homes and start living.
Meanwhile, DMRC has also started working on the metro project between Botanical Garden and Kalindi Kunj and is building the bridge on Yamuna river.
Greater Noida Authority has also approved the DPR and MOU of proposed metro rail project to be developed to connect Noida and Greater Noida.
