Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) Construct 6,000 Housing Units over 2,000 Acre Land

Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will build a new township with around 6,000 housing units. These 6k housing will be construct on over 2,000 acre land on sulttanpur road. The authority has prepared a blueprint for the acquisition of 2,052 acre land in 9 village for the scheme.

The township will accommodate around 22,000 people and 1,500 commercial units will also be part of it. According to Lucknow Development Authority officials, this new township will also have facilities like community centre, school, park, bank, shopping complex, temple and swimming pool.

The project which will come up at an estimated cost of Rs.148 crore. The authority said, if the land acquisition process is completed by March 2021 then construction of these housing units will begins soon. The project will be completed by the end of 2025.

LDA 6000 New Housing Units

Lucknow Development Authority(LDA) approved the proposal for new township with 6K housing units on sultanpur road. Earlier, a private developer had proposed a township on 700 acre land at the same place. How ever , LDA board cancelled the approval granted to it earlier after finding irregularities in paperwork.

It was then decided that LDA will construct a township nearly 3 times bigger than the one proposed by the private player. It was also decided that land will be acquired from 9 villages – Malakpur, Dhakwa, Bajpur, Malauli, chaurahia, Yaad Sarai, Dularmau, Salauli, and Samenapur for construction of these housing units.
