Lucknow Development Authority approved has approved first affordable housing project in Lucknow under centre’s housing mission, ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’. Growing population of the area has created a tremendous demand of housing, by the reasons the development agency has approved affordable housing under PMAY.
It is the first project launched under PM Awas Yojana in Lucknow and the project would spread over the area of 10 acres at Kanpur Road, about five kilometre from Amuasi airport at Parth Township.
The task of handling the project is given to Parth Infrabuild Pvt Ltd and the company’s CMD, PN Mishra informed that the construction work already begun and about 2146 flats would be completed by 2019. People would be able to get possession in next 3 years.
As per the proposed plan, these housing units would be available for EWS (economical weaker section) and LIG (lower income group), MIG (middle income group) and HIG (higher income group) and the cost of EWS and LIG housing units would be 40% cheaper because of centre’s subsidy Scheme.
As Lucknow included in the list of smart cities, it will provide all smart solutions like customer portal, traffic management system, Wi-Fi zone, PNG gas, iconic tower, open and green spaces, optical fibre accessibility etc even to the lowest cost flats like LIG and EWS category.
The project has proposal of constructing 817 flats for economical weaker section and 407 flats for lower income group. And the size of these housing units would be in the range of 473 square feet to 553 square feet. The cost of flats will vary from Rs. 6.0 lakh to 1.30 lakh
Registrations for housing units in PMAY Lucknow will be started from 31 March to 30 April 2017.
To take the benefits of PMAY, the applicants will have to qualify the eligibility criteria of Pradban Mantri Awas Yojana which also has income limits for different categories.
