KDA Plots Lottery Expected on June 15

Delayed due to the model code of conduct in force, Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) is all set to announce the draw of the 2,169 unsold plots in seven different residential schemes. According to TOI sources, the authority is planning for the draw of allotment on June 15.

Earlier, the lottery process was suspended since the model code of conduct was in force due to 2014 general elections. But, according to the recent news sources, the authority has decided to sell and allot all the plots which could not be sold in different schemes due to various reasons.

The applications for the allotment of these plots were already invited 5 months before when thousands of aspirants applied for these.

According to KDA sources, 28 plots in Panki industrial area, 6 in village Bairi Akbarpur, 2 in Maharshi Dayanand scheme, 2 in Juhi dabouli scheme , 32 in Juhi scheme, 10 in Shatabdi Nagar phase III scheme will be sold/allotted during the lottery draw.

The Kanpur Development Authority is also trying to enhance its land bank to initiate residential schemes for the denizens. Along with this, the officials are working on the effective execution of new Kanpur city scheme and development of vacant plots at Panki and Rooma. The authority can also consider launching new housing schemes in Gram Sabha of villages which are adjacent to the city after identifying the suitable land there.

Meanwhile, the state government had asked the authority to provide all details of homes for economically weaker section of the society. It had already ordered to raise 10 percent homes for EWS of the society in each scheme.
