Applications for HUDA BPL Ashiana Scheme in Gurgaon to be Invited Soon

Haryana Urban Development Authority is all set to invite applications for its affordable housing scheme Ashiana in Gurgaon. As reported by HT, the authority will start inviting applications through public notice in coming weeks. The scheme has already seen delays in identifying the eligible candidates.

According to the HUDA administrator, PC Meena, the scheme will be launched in next couple of weeks. According to home, the encroachers in Sector 12A are also being considered as eligible for Ashiana scheme.

Once the public notice is issued for inviting the applications, HUDA will give 2 week time to the applicants to submit their applications. The whole process of screening the eligible candidates and allotting the homes will take no more than 2 months.

The Ashiana scheme is meant for the people below poverty line and living in Shanties across the city. Under the scheme 1088 flats in sector 47 are ready to be allotted. However it is still unclear that the people who have already applied for the homes allotment earlier will need to apply again or not.

HUDA has also hired a security agency to look after the flats built for the scheme until the allotments are made.
