CHB Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Chandigarh to Build 10,000 Homes

Chandigarh Housing Board has decided to the target for the first phase of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). In the PMAY first phase, CHB will construct over 10,000 flats for different segments of the society including, EWS (Economically Weaker Section), LIG (Low Income group), MIG (Middle Income Group)-(I) & MIG-(II) categories.

A review meeting was organised for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in which it had been decided that how much houses would be made available for a particular category. Below is the detail of category and their respective houses which to be build.

PM Awas Yojana – List of Flats

  • EWS – 3,500 Houses
  • LIG – 3,000 Houses
  • MIG-(I) – 2,000 Houses
  • MIG-(II) – 1,500 Houses

Online and offline applications for CHB PMAY Chandigarh were invited earlier for finding the eligible applicant.Of total, 36,382 applicants applied through offline mode, 40,524 through online mode & 45,993 through E-Sampark Centers. And only 51,000 were found eligible from total received application.

The task of identifying the last for the construction of houses under PMAY in Chandigarh to fulfil the demand of affordable housing. The implementation work will soon be started so that PMAY beneficiaries can move to their houses as soon as possible.
