The stack of application forms under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is going every day from the start of CHB PMAY demand survey. The board is receiving big response from the people who are willing to get affordable housing benefits under PMAY.
Registrations were started from 20 March 2017 and from the first day there are long queues of people in the CHB office to submit their forms. And to minimise the rush, the board took a decision to accept the applications from e-Sampark centers in Chandigarh and also release a list of e-Sampark centers where the facility is available.
Till Monday the CHB received 8500 application forms manually and 37,000 application through online mode. And after the decision of accepting applications from e-Sampark centers, 300 people applied from these centers.
And to decrease the crowd in the office, the bord has distributed more than 5,000 application forms free of cost. The city has 18 e-Sampark centers, 12 e -iosk Centers and 14 e-Gram Sampark Centers where the people can submit their forms.
Extra Counters: Besides, the board has also created extra counter to help the people in filling a form as they found a fraud that some people are charging Rs. 50 to Rs. 100/- to fill their forms.
