HIMUDA to Build Low Cost Houses in Himachal Pradesh

HIMUDA (Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Authority) would soon ensure for building low cost houses and quality housing projects in the state. The official of Urban Development Ministry, Sudhir Sharma said that Keeping in view the rapid expansion of urban areas, HIMUDA should commit for systematic planning and development of housing colonies.

It is a long time when the authority has not launched any housing scheme for the residents of Himachal Pradesh. According to Sudhir Sharma, the authority should come up with straightforward strategies and innovative solutions for promising low cost houses in a quality housing projects.

After the meeting of the board of directors of the authority, Sharma focused upon the need to follow a more effective policy for attract investors through the PPP mode and commit to complete the project within the frame of time.

According to the source the board has approved the proposal of transferring the government land in Mohal Pauti and Mohal Majhola in Shimla district to the urban development department under the Infrastructure Development Scheme.
It approved the draft memorandum of understanding under the Land Owners become Partner in Development with HIMUDA scheme and the draft of Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority Lease Policy of 2015.
