Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has decided to receive applications for all future housing schemes through online mode only. The decision was taken after many complaints from the allottees about the frauds by Babus and the private property dealers.
Using the online application mode, the authority is planning to bring more transparency to the housing allotment and other schemes. The new method of receiving applications online will ensure that there in no frauds like in earlier schemes.
There were many cases reported of cheat and fraud in the previous schemes like changes in the physical documents, selling allotted houses through private property dealers. Cases of record file missing and the replaced photo and identity have also been reported several times. Property dealers selling the same property many times to different people with the help of GDA babu’s were also among the registered complaints.
