e-Punjab School Management System Portal – e-Punjab Portal for All Govt. Schools

Chandigarh education department is going to launch e-Punjab portal (e-Punjab school management school portal) for all the government schools of the state. The education department has given this information that e-Punjab portal will be launched in January and it will induce the transparency in the system of education.

Union territory has taken this initiative with the department of school education, Punjab under the mentoring programme for exchanging best practices of the state / UTs under the aegis of the ministry of human resource & development.

The UT will adopt e-Punjab school management software and online teacher transfer policy for the computerization of data related to school, teachers and students under this programme. MIS (management information system) web portal deals with all the information required to run the school management system.

e-Punjab portal will maintain the records related to the school infrastructure, physical position of the school building, number of classrooms, other room details, availability of necessary amenities. The information about the students, teaching and non teaching staff will also be available at e-Punjab school management system portal.

 How e-Punjab Portal will Work ?

The e-Punjab portal will be accessible by citizens and will contain the data of all the schools in 22 districts of the state and below is the procedure on which this portal will work.

  • The official websites of all the schools will be available at this portal.
  • A daily report on number of students served mid-day meal and number of the students present on a particular day will be prepared and uploaded on the portal.
  • Students details like age, caste, religion, health, class wise and UID verification details will be available along with the infrastructure details of the school.

Each school will be given a user ID and password to manage its own school portal. The district education officer, director school education and secretary education will be given username and password to access internal data and taking action. The administration will also keep a complete track information by the school administration. The e-Punjab portal will be accessible by citizens to bring transparency in the system and encourage feedback.
