Delhi Master Plan 2021 to Get Inputs from Paris & Germany

After several amendments in 2021 master plan of Delhi, DDA officials are now set to fly to Paris and Germany for getting inputs for improvement in the environment and public transport. 2 DDA officials and an additional secretary to Lt. Governor will leave for a 6 day trip to Paris and Germany on June 28.

The Delhi Development Authority is sending Additional commissioner (planning) SP Pathak, additional commissioner (landscape) Savita Bhandari and additional secretary to Lt. Governor Swati Sharma for the trip. The team will there study the options to include non-motorised vehicles (NMV) lanes in Delhi transport to promote cycling. DDA want international practices to be considered and included before the master plan is finalized.

The DDA officials in Paris and Germany will talk and tie up with the government and local agencies to deal with the matters of public transport and landscaping. The review of Delhi Master Plan 2021 is being in process since September 2011. These changes will last up to 6-7 years before Master Plan for 2041 is prepared.

Till now, up to 120 modifications have been done into the Delhi Master Plan 2021 since September 2011 with lot of inputs from experts in these two fields.
