DDA Housing Scheme 2016 to be Even Bigger & Better

Delhi Development Authority“>Delhi Development Authority has revealed the tentative date of launch of its next mega housing scheme. The DDA may come up with a new housing scheme in December 2016 offering about 40000 flats to different categories in different parts of the Capital city. The number is significantly higher than what DDA offered in its largest ever housing scheme 2014. There were 25,034 flats were offered in this scheme for which the registrations were floated from 1st September to 15th October. The document verification process is in progress for the allotment of 2014 scheme flats.

According to DDA’s vice chairman Balvinder Kumar, the next housing scheme will be launched somewhere in December 2016 in which more number of flats with bigger area will be offered. Many of the successful applicants are not happy with the small area of most the flats offered in 2014 scheme. There were only about 5% of the flats with 2BHK or more in this scheme.

Out of the total, there will be about 16000 2BHk and 3BHK flats will be offered to the MIG (middle income group) and HIG (higher income group) category respectively. There will be about 24,660 one bedroom flats for the LIG (lower income group) category under the next mega housing scheme in 2016.

Similar to the 2014 scheme, most of the flats in DDA housing scheme 2016 will be located in the area of Rohini, Narela and Dwarka. DDA will also offer flats in area where it has identified the vacant land for construction. These areas include Vasant Kunj, Sheikh Sarai, Defence Colony, Kalkaji, Dakshinpuri, Sarita Vihar, Kohat Enclave, Burari and Nasirpur.

The cost of flats offered in 2016 scheme will be about 15%-20% higher compared to that of in 2014.

According to DDA’s vice chairman Balvinder Kumar, the authority is at present constructing about 53,752 flats in different areas of the capital city out of which it is hopeful to ready about 40,000 flats for offering in 2016. The flats to be offered will have ultra modern designs with highest specifications. The buildings will be constructed based on green concept to make those energy efficient with zero discharge and prefab structures enabling speedier and eco-friendly constructions.

Many of the flats in 2016 will be offered to the senior citizens of the society with all ultra modern facilities along with security and medical facilities.
