CHB: Possession of Flats in Sector-63 will be given in June 2015

On Tuesday, Chandigarh Housing Board announced the allottees of 1,720 flats under General Self Housing Scheme, 2008. Total 2,108 flats constructed under the scheme, out of which 1,720 has been completed while 388 units are on their completion stage.

Under the scheme the flats constructed in Sector-63 and Chandigarh Housing Board will hand over the possession of flats from June. The decision of giving possession to allottees was taken by the board in a high-level meeting chaired by Chairman Maninder Singh.

The source said that the allotment process was hanging due to some legal and other hurdles. The construction work of 1,720 flats was almost completed and 388 units are on their completion stages which will be completed in the end of April 2015.

All 2,108 flats, which include 3BHK, 2BHK, 1BHK and one-room, were on offer for EWS category of the society. The prices of flat were fixed earlier as Rs. 39.57 lakh for three-bedroom flat, Rs. 29.14 lakh for two-bedroom, Rs. 17.15 lakh for one-bedroom and Rs. 5.6 for one-room EWS flat.

Maninder Singh told the media that the possession would be handed over according to the number plan draw system in the first fortnight of June. “The construction work of 388 units is likely to be completed till August 2015”, he also added.
