CHB Plans PMAY Demand Survey for MIG Category in Chandigarh

Chandigarh Housing Board is planning to benefit the middle-income group (MIG) under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Chandigarh. CHB has taken a decision to launch the a scheme to provide affordable houses to MIG category whose annual income is in the range of Rs 12 lakh to Rs 18.

Recently, Chandigarh Housing Board started a demand survey for affordable house under PMAY and started inviting applications form from EWS and LIG category for affordable houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

The CHB is also planning to hold a demand survey to identify the eligible people from MIG category and the application forms will be available for CHB PMAY demand survey at the CHB office and on the official website of the board.

The number of MIG houses under CHB PMAY new scheme will decided after considering the response to the survey.

Under the scheme, application would be invited from MIG categories for MIG houses and MIG-1 houses. The residents of Chandigarh having annual income in the range of Rs 6 to 12 lakh would be eligible for the MIG houses while MIG 1 category houses, the applicants annual income should be in between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.

The cost of MIG and MIG-1 will be Rs. 15 lakh and Rs 21 lakh respectively.

Residents living in urban areas of Chandigarh and belonging to economical weaker section and lower income group can apply for currently running demand survey of PMAY in Chandigarh for affordable houses and the last date of submitting application form is 20 April 2017.
