CGHB Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana Construction Begins

Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CGHB) has started the implementation of Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana. According to the source, Chhattisgarh Housing Board has commenced the construction of EWS and LIG houses in the new capital.

Under the scheme, a central assistance of Rs. 1.50 lakh and state assistance of Rs. 1 lakh will be provided to the beneficiary under ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ and ‘Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana’ respectively.

After total assistance, the houses having a cost of Rs. 6 lakh will be available in Rs. 3.50 lakh for EWS category.
After total exemption, the house to the tune of about Rs 6 lakh is going to be available for beneficiaries in Rs 3.50 lakh. Similarly, LIG houses worth Rs 9 lakh will be available to beneficiaries in Rs 6.50 lakh.

The announcement for the scheme was made on 26 January and opened till 31 March 2016.

The authority has again been honored on the occasion of ‘Global Partnership Summit’ organize on the theme of ‘Smart City, Smart India’ by ASSOCHAM in New Delhi. Earlier the CGHB was honored by ‘Best Housing Board’ for providing housing facilities.

According to the source, Chhattisgarh’s Housing, Environment and PWD Minister Rajesh Munat, CGHB Chairman Bhupendra Singh Savanni and Commissioner Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi together received the award at the hands of Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister of State for Forest, Environment and Climate Change (Independent charge) Prakash Javadekar.

Prominent persons from industrial world, ambassadors of various countries and CEO has also joined the occasion.
Meanwhile in the occasion, State’s Housing and Environment Minister Rajesh Munat said that in the direction of achieving vision and goals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Raman Singh has directed the Housing Department to pace up the works to ensure availability of housing facility for all in Chhattisgarh.
