Bihar Rajya Fasal Sahayata Yojana Highlights
The scheme is solely meant for the benefit of the farming community in the State of Bihar. Farmers are reprieved from remitting any premium, as the scheme is intended for the purpose of assistance and not insurance. If the farmers’ rate of production is less than 20% of the threshold limit, he/she will receive a sum of Rs 7,500 per hectare for a maximum of two hectares.
If a farmers’ loss in production exceeds 20%, he/she will be incentivized with a Sum of Rs.10,000 per hectare for a maximum of two hectares. The scheme is not restricted to farmers who have availed loans from nationalized banks, Cooperative banks and other institutions; as borrowers from other agencies are also covered.
