Bangalore Draft Master Plan 2031: The Plan for the development of Bangalore will be unveiled in December.
The Bangalore Development Minister K J George said in his statement that the Comprehensive Master Plan (CDP) of Bangalore, a vision document to define the land use plan for housing, industrial land, green area and business hub is also on its final stage.

According to the source, Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) revises the master plan of city in every 10 years but now BDA has entrusted the work of preparing the document to a private company. The process has taken about two years and now it has come in front of civic analysts and political parties.

Mr. George organized a meeting with Siddaramaiah to review the development projects in Bengaluru. In the mid he said that the Bangalore Master Plan 2031 would be ready next month and people would also be invited to give their responses before the finalization of the plan.

The meeting also decided to bring greater efficiency in the functioning of Bengaluru International Airport Planning Authority (BIAPA) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) by instructing the two civic agencies to prepare similar CDP for curbing haphazard growth in their jurisdictional areas.

Meanwhile he said that there are many villages under the BMRDA jurisdiction witnessing rapid development. A well-laid plan for regulated growth is needed for BMRDA and BIAPA too.
